What Sollo keeps,and what leaves.

Your mail stays on your computer. Your business data is kept on our servers in Switzerland. This page says what is stored where, how it is protected, and every place your data goes, so you can check it.

Stored on your computer

Mail, drafts, summaries and rules, and the mail behind anything you keep, are stored in one encrypted database and an encrypted file store on your computer.

The keys sit in your system keyring: Secret Service on Linux, the Keychain on macOS. Without that keyring entry, the data cannot be read, by design.

Stored in Switzerland

Your account, and the clients, projects, hours, invoices and calendars you create in Sollo, are stored on Eclypsys’s servers in Switzerland, encrypted at rest.

A contact or event kept from mail goes up without the mail: its link to the thread, its subject and its body stay on your computer. A copy of your business data stays on your computer too, so you can keep working offline; changes are sent when you reconnect.

What leaves your computer

Sollo connects to these places, and to nothing else:

  • Your mail and calendar servers, over TLS, on the hosts and ports you set.
  • The model server on your computer, for sorting new mail.
  • Claude, for drafts and questions, when you ask. The panel shows what was sent each time.
  • A message's remote images, when you load them. Never for protected mail or mail in Spam.
  • Sollo’s servers in Switzerland, for your account and your business data.

Local only

Any account, or any task, can be set to local only. Then nothing from it goes to Claude. Sorting already runs locally; without a local model, Sollo sorts by headers and never falls back to the cloud on its own.

Protected mail

Sign-in codes, password resets and other security mail are kept from the companion and from notifications.

Agents you connect

Claude Desktop or Cursor can work with your mail over MCP once you pair them in Settings. They go through the same approvals as Sollo, and Activity lists what they did.
